Beatriz epitomizes the archetype of a Dance Artist, transcending categorical confines to dedicate herself wholeheartedly to the expansive realm of dance, movement, theatre, and art. Her artistic endeavors have garnered multiple accolades, including recognition through a LA Civic Leadership and Impact Awards nomination by LA Works, numerous commendations from the City of Los Angeles, and acknowledgment from the United States Congress for her contributions to promoting the arts within the Latin Community.

Beatriz's passion for dance and movement manifests across an array of genres and styles, spanning from vernacular jazz to ballet, flamenco fusion, and performance art. This artistic versatility has graced stages at prestigious venues, including Barnsdall Theatre, The Ford Theatre, The Boston Court Theatre, Cerritos College Performing Arts Center, Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Los Angeles Theatre Center, USC Festival of Books, UCLA, Pico Rivera Sports Arena, Festival De La Calle 8, Casa 0101, The Bilingual Foundation of the Arts, The Frida Kahlo Theatre, The Orpheum Theatre, The Willie Agee Playhouse, California Plaza, The Million Dollar Theatre, The Craft and Folk Arts Museum, The LA Art Show, and various art galleries throughout Los Angeles.

In the realm of film, Beatriz's artistry is vividly captured in two short films: "Two Dancers One Love," recipient of fourteen awards and one nomination, and the upcoming "Tormenta," currently in post-production.

Beatriz began her dance path in Colombian folkloric dance and classical ballet, she spent most of her childhood and teen years training, attending the Joffrey ballet school and dancing in multiple ballet productions.

She decided to broaden her horizons, first with a Yoga teacher training Certification by Yoga works, and by delving into the world of Modern dance and Flamenco. It is here that her world of dance expanded allowing her to see an incredible array of possibilities, leading her to become a multidisciplinary Dance Artist.

Beatriz has been a principal dancer for Rune Dance Theatre, the Central Avenue Dance Ensemble company, Mojacar Flamenco, and I am Frida Kahlo show. She has been a guest dancer for Kayamanan Ng Lahi, and world renowned dancer Chester Whitmore. She has worked in music videos for recording artists Arnold G, JD Mata, Leopold Nunan, and Poetender. And she has worked as a fine art model for visual artists Eva Montealegre, Petra Eiko, and Tiger Munson.

Beatriz’s passion for dance does not end with her, she is the founder and director of 3-19 Dance Art, and she is a teaching artist for the city of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation and for organizations such as Heidi Duckler Dance and Grupo Ta’yer
